Antique Indian Bidri Plate, Indian Bidriware Plate, Silver Inlaid Circular Small Plate, c. late 1800’s

This is a small antique Bidriware circular tashtari (plate) ornamented with two borders, each being different. The circular slightly concave plate has a central rosette. Birds, floral motifs and vine creepers surround the rosette to the silver scrolling vine border.

The plate has a mend from the original casting - as the inlay has not been disturbed and is complete on the surface over the mend. The plate has used the Tarkashi technique and Tehnishan technique.

The silver inlay is basically intact and in excellent condition. Dates from early 20th century.
