Vintage Indian Silver Dangle Earrings, Antique Urdu Silver Pendants,13.7 Grams, 7cm (2 3/4″)
This is a pair of non traditional Indian earrings with components from northern India.
There are five very old Urdu script pendants on each earring that have been hand cut to round shapes from a larger piece of fine silver sheet that may have contained an Urdu poem - and are most probably from the Delhi region.
The Urdu script pendants are spaced along a very well made silver link chain with sturdy ring clips.
The earrings have newly made, rather long traditional Rajasthani normal gauge wires - 1mm gauge and suitable for western wearing.
The dangle earrings are quite long hanging from the earlobe at 7cm (2 3/4") and have a charming tinkle with movement.
